Flavia Dimitriu

Who are you and what do you do at Panasonic?

My name is Flavia, I’m 24 years old and currently in my 6th semester of a dual business studies program. I’m currently supporting the Corporate Controlling team and enjoy learning new things every day.

How long have you been working at Panasonic and in which area? (Brief career history if applicable)

My journey at Panasonic began in 2021 with my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. At that time, I learned about Panasonic through acquaintances and was immediately impressed by the diverse opportunities and the friendly atmosphere. It became clear to me early on that I wanted to further my professional development with a dual degree program. Panasonic made this dream possible and gave me the opportunity to start a dual business studies program in 2022 – a decision that has had a decisive impact on my path.

How has your career developed at Panasonic?

I was able to transition from my apprenticeship to university studies and work in many exciting areas: Corporate Procurement, Accounting, Project Controlling – I was able to gain valuable insights everywhere. Project Controlling, in particular, made me realize how exciting it is to look behind the numbers, understand the interrelationships within a corporation, and actively shape projects. Now in Corporate Controlling, I can further explore this interest and look forward to contributing and expanding my knowledge.

Were there any particular milestones or turning points during your time here?

The post-pandemic period was a special time for me. It wasn’t always easy to rebuild a sense of community after so much working from home. That made it all the more rewarding to organize projects like our first trainee fair appearance at Vocatium or the Trainee Welcome Event. Seeing how these activities strengthened our community made me very proud.

What project or experience are you most proud of?

I’m especially proud that it was the trainees‘ idea to organize a welcome day by trainees for trainees. Back then, I was able to accompany the new trainees on their first day. Today, it’s wonderful to see that this tradition continues, with other trainees continually shaping the day with their own ideas and ensuring a warm start. Seeing how much passion they put into it shows me every time how important such projects are for our togetherness.

What do you hope for your future at Panasonic?

For the future, I hope to continue to master many new challenges, to develop myself professionally and personally, and to remain part of this large Panasonic family. At Panasonic, we not only work together, but also celebrate together – whether at the summer festival or the Christmas party. For me, it’s special to be part of something so big, where everyone puts their heart and soul into it.

What makes Panasonic so special for you?

What makes Panasonic special for me is its strong commitment to promoting young talent. You can sense that training here isn’t just a „journey“ but is actively shaped and valued – both within the company and within the entire training community. I felt taken seriously from the very beginning: My ideas were heard, my development was encouraged, and my efforts were recognized.

What’s special about the dual business studies program?

During the theoretical phase at university, I not only learn in-depth business administration content, but I can also apply what I’ve learned directly in practice – a huge advantage of the dual study program. I’m particularly proud that in those three years, I not only mastered my studies but also successfully completed my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. It was often challenging, but it showed me how much I can achieve if I approach it with motivation and enthusiasm.
