As an Atlassian Tools Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the stable and efficient operation of our hybrid Atlassian platform – consisting of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Crowd (on-premises) as well as Jira Service Management (cloud). Your primary goal is to maintain and further develop the systems and integrate them with other applications such as SAP, Jira Contour and Atlassian Crowd.

You will also support the digitalization of internal processes by building efficient Jira workflows and automation.

With your technical background, you will ensure that our Atlassian platform is optimally utilized and continuously improved – in close collaboration with business departments, development teams, and external partners.


Your responsibilities:

 

  • Operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of Atlassian systems (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Crowd – on-premises and Jira Service Management Cloud)
  • Planning and implementation of system upgrades, patches, and extensions
  • Integration of the Atlassian platform into existing system landscapes (including SAP, Jama Connect, Atlassian Crowd)
  • Configuration of user rights, project schemas, automation, and custom fields
  • Development and maintenance of Jira workflows and process models to support company-wide business processes
  • Evaluation, management, and support of Atlassian Marketplace apps (e.g., ScriptRunner, BigPicture)
  • Technical support for key users and specialist departments
  • Documentation, training, and ensuring standardized and efficient use of the Atlassian platform

What we are looking for:

 

  • Completed degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in administering Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket on-premises) and Jira Service Management (cloud)
  • Experience with authentication and authorization systems, especially Atlassian Crowd
  • Solid technical expertise in Linux servers, scripting (e.g., Groovy, Bash, Python), and web technologies
  • Strong analytical thinking, solution-oriented approach, and a structured working style
  • Atlassian certifications (ACP) or comparable qualifications are an advantage
  • Knowledge of ITSM/Agile environments and regulatory requirements is desirable
